Sluis Eefde is a lock complex near the Dutch town of Eefde. The complex is located in the Twente Canal and is a national monument from 1933 that is used by Rijkswaterstaat for water management and shipping traffic and was thoroughly renovated from 2003 to 2006. It was designed by Dirk Roosenburg. In April 2020, a second lock was put into operation next to the existing lock dating from 1930. The lock dating from 1930 was renamed Zuidersluis in May 2020; the new lock is called Noordersluis.
Theatre Hanzehof & Buitensociëteit is a theatre cum concert hall in the Dutch city of Zutphen. The Hanzehof is located at the Coehoornsingel, where since 1891 the Buitensociëteit stood. In the 70s of the 20th century, the current theatre was built against the Buitensociëteit. Theatre Hanzehof & Buitensociëteit plays a major role in the cultural offerings of Zutphen. Besides the theatre, it has a monumental concert hall.

City walk through Zutphen. The Hanseatic League was an important period for Zutphen. The fourteenth century is called Zutphen's golden age. Thanks to the IJssel and the Berkel, Zutphen was able to conduct trade over water with the kogge ships developed for this purpose. The fact that a lot of money was earned by doing so, is still visible in the Hanseatic city. The city walk Hanzestad Zutphen will take you past the memories of this era in approximately 2 hours.

Palace Het Loo was the residence of Queen Wilhelmina until 1962 and is currently a museum of the House of Orange-Nassau. On the outskirts of Apeldoorn, you can view spacious rooms with beautiful paintings and wander through baroque gardens with symmetrically planted flower beds and Delft blue garden vases. The Palace Park has eight beautiful walking routes of various lengths that lead you right through the wooded area, and for the little ones, special treasure hunts have been set up.
Hanseatic city of Elburg
Walking through Elburg, the narrow alleys, cobblestone pavements and picturesque vistas give you the feeling of being back in the Middle Ages. Shop in atmospheric boutiques, soak up culture among the 250 monuments and eat a tasty snack on one of the many squares. The Agnietenklooster is iconic and a must-see!

They are very touristy, but still, they should not be missed in this list of most beautiful sights. The most famous traditional Dutch fishing villages are Volendam, Marken and Monnickendam. Volendam is known worldwide for its fishing culture, its beautifully coloured houses, the dike and its traditional costumes. Many artists, such as Jan Smit and Nick & Simon, also come from this fishing village. Tourists often visit Volendam in combination with Marken, which is located on a peninsula surrounded by the Gouwzee and the Markermeer. Marken has monumental wooden houses, white drawbridges, a fishing harbour, narrow alleys and traditional costumes. It is a photogenic village with many visitors during the high season. Apart from all this, you can also visit a cheese factory, an eel smokehouse, the eel sound museum or go on a guided walk; there are enough options for a fun day out!
The Dutch are sometimes called cheeseheads because cheese plays an important role in our economy. We still love cheese and eat about 15 kilos! cheese per person per year. There are five cheese markets, namely in Alkmaar, Edam, Hoorn, Gouda and Woerden. Nowadays, the cheese markets are more like tourist demonstrations or reconstructions of earlier times. Gouda and Woerden are still the most traditional. The cheese markets are often located in the middle of a beautiful historic city centre with monuments. Visit a museum to see how cheese is actually made.

Giethoorn is ideal for a day trip in the Netherlands. Because of the beautiful houses and many canals, Giethoorn is also called the Venice of the Netherlands. The village in Overijssel has various museums that tell you more about the history and the surroundings. The best way to see Giethoorn is of course by boat, which will take you to places that are otherwise inaccessible. If you don't feel like sailing, you can also discover Giethoorn by bike.
De Efteling is an amusement park and recreation complex in Kaatsheuvel, a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. In addition to the amusement park, the World of the Efteling includes a theatre, two hotels, two holiday parks and a golf park.

De Librije is a restaurant in Zwolle run by chef Jonnie and hostess Thérèse Boer. The restaurant has three Michelin stars since 26 January 2004 and serves organic, Dutch, regional and vegetarian dishes.
Ciel Bleu is a restaurant located on the 23rd floor of Hotel Okura Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It had one Michelin star in the period 2005-2007 and has had two Michelin stars since 2008. In 2013, GaultMillau gave the restaurant 18 out of the maximum 20 points.
